Vintage Lufkin No. 523 folding carpenter’s rule made by Lufkin Rule Co. of Saginaw, Michigan, USA. Early-to-mid 20th century piece, likely dating to the 1930s era. Classic wood and brass construction with aged patina and original markings. Folds compact and extends to 6 feet. Great collectible vintage tool with excellent display appeal for farmhouse, industrial, workshop, or man cave decor. Shows normal wear from age and use including scuffs, discoloration, finish wear, and oxidation to brass joints. Markings are still visible and ruler displays nicely.
