A FOUNDER'S GRADE 2 3/8" WIDTH CUTTING IRON for a Stanley No. 4 1/2 heavy smooth plane, No. 6 fore plane or No. 7 jointer plane by Eskilstunasteel, Torshälla, Sweden. This iron was produced in Sweden for export to the United States in the 1950's or early 1960's. It is fashioned from Fine Swedish Steel, for which Eskilstuna, Sweden is famous. It will also work with planes by Sargent and Millers Falls that use 2 3/8" width cutting irons. It is in brand new, unused original condition and could be put directly to use. As good as they get.
