Antique Vtg Slater’s Slate Hammer With Wooden Sleeved Handle Battle Snow Pickaxe

Old hammer. Unbranded. Good condition for its age, see pictures for signs of wear. It appears to have been hand forged to be used as either a slate hammer and/or battle hammer. It has a wide grip wooden handle with a metal sleeve to protect and reinforce the handle and head. The construction does not appear to be design for snow/ice, but it does have some characteristics of a snow knocker. Weighs 14.3 oz with handle on. Handle measures at 15”. Head measures at just under 4 1/4”

Vintage T-Handle Auger Bit Tool: 1-1/2″ x 18″ metal bit with 21″W wooden handle

This vintage T-handle auger was a very useful boring tool that was typically used for boring 1-1/2″ diameter holes in wood. The metal auger bit is attached to the wooden handle. Great addition to a collector’s tool set, or use a cool wall art in your shop or boy’s bedroom! Wood handle measures 21″W. I has a split in it (typical of a vintage piece like this). Metal auger bit has overall length of 16″, consisting of a screw tip and 6 spirals, measuring 8″ in length. Smoke-free, pet-free home.

Vtg American Beauty 15oz Claw Hammer Head Forged Tool

For your consideration is a vintage 15oz claw hammer head marked American Beauty *. It weighs 15oz and appears to be a nicely made, forged steel piece. I like and pay attention to old hammers but I’ve never seen an American Beauty before. A quick google search says it was sold by American Hardware & Supply Company and was likely made by one of the big manufacturing companies. While that may or may not be true, this is a nice looking hammer head. It shows no sign of excessive use or abuse. I gave it quick wire-wheeling to clean off the light rust it had on it. The handle it was on was shot / destroyed so I removed it to reduce shipping cost. This is a nice quality hammer head. Thank you for your interest.
