The Vintage Stanley Bailey No. 6 Smooth Plane Type 15 from 1931-32. It’s in good working condition.there is some staining to the bare metal. The japanning is blistered in several spots. The tote and knob are solid but do have some scratches and finish wear. The blade could use a tune up. Please see the photos and thanks for looking.

This cutter, which is 2 1/8 inches in width at the sharpened end, retains about 7/8″ of its original cutting edge. It is marked with Stanley’s Nineteenth Century Stanley Rule & Level Company arch trademark. This cutter, which is unique in having a “bridge” between the sides of the opening in the center is in excellent condition and could be put directly to use in an early No. 10 plane.
