Tappet Wrenches were sold in sets of two because two same-size wrenches were commonly required to adjust tappets. In the 1939 Craftsman Catalog, (https://archive.org/details/sears-craftsman-tools-1939/page/16/mode/2up?view=theater) this Wrench was available individually, in a Set of Four (two sizes) and a Set of Six (three sizes). There is no manufacturer’s code on the Wrench, but the manner in which the naming information appears suggest production in the early 1940s. (http://alloy-artifacts.org/craftsman-early-tools-p2.html#tappet) The Wrench is in fully functional condition with only minimal loss of plating (see images). It is straight and true and could easily put to work upon receipt. It could also be added to a Craftsman Show-and-Tell Collection. We will ship the Long C Tappet Wrench by USPS Ground Priority on the next regular business day following receipt of payment.
