THREE EARLY TROPICAL HARDWOOD PLUMBER'S TOOLS. A handled Lignum vitae pipe beater; a Lignum vitae pipe flaring tool; and a turned boxwood step gauge. These tools were used in early plumbing work to shape and secure the joints on malleable pipe fashioned from lead.
