Let me start by saying this is a wonderful piece of history. It is a good looking piece of history. It is a heavy piece of history. I would only use this for display. I think it is a little too old to be an actual pulley anymore. The metal has some rust as well as some hairline fractures. This is a 24” former barn pulley. A client of mine gave me this. They have lived in their house for over 50 years. As far as they could remember this pulley was in a barn they had on their property. The house and barn date back to the 1850’s. There is a very good chance this is that old, although neither me or my client can tell you for sure. There are no dates on it or markings. I stress the fact that this is heavy. Sadly it is going to be rather expensive to ship. This pulley is available for pick up in the Bethel, CT area or I can pack it very well for shipping. This is 24” x 10.75” x 5”.
