Vintage OFFICIAL BSA/BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA BE PREPARED GENUINE PLUMB AXE/HATCHET. 1 lb. 9. ounces overall weight. Very decent condition with a fairly strong motto. Rust is quite minor. I believe this is a totally original handle. With a little bit of experience and knowing where the logo on the handle was you can see traces of it still remain, albeit pretty much only traces. Wood is dry but solid . Overall this hatchet is in quite good condition with no big abuse. The blade is very nice and only minor hammering marks on the top of the head.
