Up for Buy it Now auction is this rare antique Tower & Lyon Chaplin”s Pat. No. 5 adjustable throat wood plane. Plane is 9″ long and 2-3/8″ wide, size of a Stanley no. 4. Complete plane with no cracks or repairs to the casting. No cracks in the wood front knob. Composite tote has a mark on the back of it looks like it may have been repaired(see photos). Looks like a repaint job but nicely done. Has a neatly done previous owners mark near the logo on the cutter. Check out the photos and message me if you have any questions. This one of design was found at a garage sale in central Florida, and is just a prototype to secure the ignition mechanism on the column of a Chevrolet. There are no markings or manufacturers name anywhere on the device. All that would be needed to utilize this device would be a sturdy padlock. Unknown what year or years or model this device fits, but it is cool!
