I am offering for sale this Fine User 18th Century Higgs, London, 7/8" Side Bead Moulding Plane Inv#CR6A This is a fine example of an early 18th Century Ca. 1780-1817 Higgs, London, 7/8" Side Boxwood Bead moulding plane. It has a very early shaped wedge....It is marked on toe with "HIGGS". NOTE: The cutter & wedge are frozen and I did not want to force them out...I will leave that up to you the expert! It measures 7" x 7/8", it has typical pitting, discoloration, but the cutting edge is clean & sharp with no issues. You might want to sharpen it for optimal use. The plane has the typical dings & scars but it retains a nice feel and patina. “Photos are an integral part of this item's description.
