A FOUNDER'S GRADE ORIGINAL CUTTING IRON for a Montgomery Ward & Company rabbet and filletster plane by Montgomery Ward & Company. This cutting iron is marked with Ward's Master Quality trademark--their highest quality line of tools, which were produced for them by the Stanley Rule & Level Company of New Britain, Connecticut. This cutter has the milled grooves on the back to engage the depth of cut lever on the fillestster plane. It is in unused condition and could be put directly to use. The Ward's Master Quality planes are identical to the Stanley No. 78 and this cutter will also work in a Stanley No. 78. As good as they get. Length = 3.75 Inches (Ref.
