An ORIGINAL FROG MECHANISM for a Shapleigh Hardware "Diamond Edge" No. DE5 1/2 heavy jack plane by the Shapleigh Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri. This uncommon 2 1/4" width frog would have been produced for Shapleigh by the Stanley Rule & Level Company. This frog mechanism is in excellent condition and could be put directly to use restoring a damaged or degraded "Diamond Edge" No. DE 5 1/2 plane. Length = 7.75 Inches (Ref.
