An ORIGINAL DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTING LEVER for a Montgomery Ward & Company No. 78 duplex rabbet and filletster plane Montgomery Ward & Company, Chicago, Illinois. This lever, which was produced for later verions of the Stanley No. 78 and produced for Wards by Stanley, is secured to the plane body by a tapered pin, which is included with the lever. To replace a broken or degraded lever, just use a pin punch to drive the pin out from the narrow side and then tap the replacement into the hole, where it will be secured in the slot designed to hold it in place.
