An ORIGINAL EARLY TYPE LEVER CAP for early versions of the Stanley No. 5 1/2 heavy jack plane by STANLEY. This early cap has the "keyhole" opening used before the 1920's. The cap is designed for the earlier No. 5 1/2 planes that used a 2 1/4" width cutting iron and the cap measures about 1/16" less than that width. Length = 5.75 Inches (Ref.
