A FOUNDER'S GRADE TRANSITIONAL PLANE BODY AND FROG MECHANISM for a pre-lateral Stanley No. 35 transitional plane, "Type 4", by STANLEY. Fully 95% of the original black japan and lacquer finishes remain on this early example, which is stamped with Stanley's early "eagle" logo on the toe. This early plane has the solid brass adjusting nut for the frog. It is in top condition and could be put directly to use restoring an early No. 35 Stanley plane have a damaged or degraded body and frog mechanism. Length = 10.00 Inches (Ref.
