A FOUNDER'S GRADE NICKEL PLATED LEVER CAP for Stanley No. 4 or 5 bench plane by STANLEY. This cap has the keyhole opening used before the 1920's. It retains all of its original nickel plating and has the orange infill Stanley name cast in a notched rectangle opening filled in the background with orange japan finish. As good as they get.
