An ORIGINAL CUTTING IRON for a Stanley No. 190 1 1/2" width rabbet plane by STANLEY. This essentially unused blade is marked with the early Stanley Rule & Level Company logo that incorporates the November 18, 1884 U.S. Patent date for the Stanley series of rabbet planes that was used by Stanley on the earliest versions of the No. 78 and 190 series in the last quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
