An ORIGINAL CAST IRON PLANE BODY for a Stanley No. 5 jack plane, Type 7, by STANLEY. Approximately 85% of the original black japan finish remains on this well preserved body, which is absent any chips, cracks or other apologies and could be put directly to use. The inside of the handle receiver is cast with the foundry designations "0" and "B" on this early Stanley plane body.
