An ORIGINAL 28 GROOVES PER INCH SCRAPER PLANE CUTTING IRON by STANLEY. These irons, which were designed to perform the function of a toothing plane in roughing the surface for glue to secure veneer, were offered in three different sizes. This example is in excellent and is boldly marked with the Stanley "Block Letter" trademark used in the earlier years of the Nineteenth Century.
