An original BAKELITE AND STEEL DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTING NUT BY STANLEY. These 1 1/4 inch diameter nuts were produced for Stanley planes during the Second World War when supplies of brass, from the the nuts had historically been made, during that time. This old hardware stock example is in unused condition. It has some spots of dried packing grease on the machined metal part, but it otherwise in magnificent condition. Length = 1.25 Inches (Ref.
