A PAIR OF FOUNDER'S GRADE EARLY TYPE ROSEWOOD HANDLES for a Sargent No. 418 fore plane or No. 422 jointer plane by Sargent & Company, New Haven, Connecticut. Handles fashioned from Brazilian Rosewood were used on only the earliest Sargent planes. These handles came from a "Type 2" version of the No. 418 and look to have been little, if ever, used. The original threaded rods and brass nuts to secure the handle and knob to the plane body are included as well. As good as they get. Length = 4.50 Inches (Ref. Id No.: 396802) [Free Shipping]
